Well, nuts.
Since I can't seem to write any posts lately, I'm going to do the next "best" thing: post a link to something.
Actually, the following is a pretty great and informative interview with filmmaker (writer, director, producer) and Bram Stoker Award nominated author, Greg Lamberson. Greg is also organizing and putting on (along with Chris Scioli) one of my favorite film festivals in Buffalo, the Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival (which begins Nov. 8!).
The impressive thing about this interview is how much info is packed into it. But Greg is good at that -- I love reading his blog posts about working on film sets, whether it was the SyFy Original, BATTLEDOGS, which was shot in Buffalo, or the films he's produced and directed, like DRY BONES which had its local premiere a month ago.
Good stuff!

I'm an aspiring filmmaker (writer, editor and director). I live in the WNY/Buffalo area which has an active, growing community of indie/micro-budgeted filmmakers ($5-$50,000). My efforts to make films have been slow, but I'm still hopeful. In the meantime, I'm living vicariously through other filmmakers I know! I also have a background in local theater and I draw. So, all that is in the mix here, baby! This blog is an effort to detail my journey toward making movies.
